anyone tried a medieval short?

I am in pre-production on my own short set in the medieval period and would love to compare notes with someone else trying to do the same thing. Oh, and I am talking about a battle scene (chain mail, helmets, sword, etc) and not village life.

I produced and DP'ed a feature set in Ancient Rome a couple years ago. We made all the armor and weapons ourselves, as well as a couple catapults and trebuchets and such. Way overambitious but I learned a lot nonetheless.

Believe it or not, I have absolutely nothing... everything is back home (I'm at school, where I only have the bare essentials necessary for survival). I'm happy to answer any questions you have, though.
