Macgregor: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Spain

A historic event occured this past weekend which surprisingly escaped the insatiable American paparazzi, who were no doubt caught up in the fervor of the Golden Globes.

With an ambitious production schedule laid out before them, our European DVX User friends Macgregor, Bruno Zacharias and associates touched down at JFK International Airport in New York City.

Clearing US Customs proved a challenge for our filmic wunderkinds when US Agricultural Inspection Agents forced Mac to surrender a live chicken which was stowed in his camera case.

This hurdle behind them, they immediately set to work on phase one of their US tour with the support of their hosts, Jack Daniel Stanley and Erik Paulsen.

Below are a few snapshots from their Mission in America.

WHAT THE HELL!

Mac, Bruno, Paulsen and JDS in the same place at the same time? Reminds me of the time Mick Jagger showed up and played a few impromptu tunes in a local bar and I was in the tavern across the street. Missed it all.

Also trying to figure out how Erik got all those great shots and managed to even get in one - then figured Joan must have been taking them (rumour has it she's the real talent in a talented family). Missed out on that too.

Damn!

Why must you torture us so?

Sweet! Is this the secret Barry Green/JDS project? Or something else? Either way, looks like a lot of great potential.

Fill us in fella's!!!

it's 4 projects
  • two music videos (or bideo clips as they say in Spain - comeon try it, it's fun)
  • a short for DVXuser
  • a silly short
today we are in Vegas, tonight Death Valley

EDIT: Make that 5 projects - I forgot the Exotic Car spec commercials in Death Valley

Damn Jack, you got a nice rush of projects going on! Are you working on any of them on Thursday day/night? I'll lend a hand.

I am working Thurs, but I am not back until the 21st.

We are actually taping right this second for the short.

Right now we are shooting a scene where my character is typing on a laptop.

So I am typing this so it is like I am really typing, because I am really typing.

Hold on U havt di I

OK

A few folks have complimented me on these pix, particularly the group shot at the bridge. Well wouldn't you know, that's the only one I didn't take! :)

Gotta credit our man Mac. He set that shot up using the timer... :)

I'm not sure Brandon...

One thing I am sure of, is their schedule is as tight as a flamenco guitar string. Hopefully we'll hear more when they get back from the desert...

I may post a few more pix from last weekend... Stay tuned.

A cold damp day... A break from the outside elements. Preparing for a music video shot on the street above.
Don't let the cops see you in the subway with a phoney cigarette. They don't like phoney cigarettes... :)
