Whose too sexy for their shirt?

Well I'm not.

Last week, I got this lardass back in the gym. For my usual state of affairs, I am waaay outta shape.

Its not a resolution. I just promised myself that after the holiday distractions and interruptions are over, Id kick the new year off with a daily date with a treadmill. Sure, it seems JUST like a resolution. But why call it that?

When you start realizing you don't need your girlfriend's boobs because you've got your own...its time to hit the gym fellas.

Anyone else doing the gym thing?

Yea, I am starting back on Monday. Also not a "new year's resolution" per se, but a convenient time to start a new trend. I'm not looking forward to that first week, I hate being so sore I can barely move...but I know I'll be glad I did it once I am able to fasten my pants without sucking my gut in first :embarasse

Last year I was going to start working out and had started a blog to track my progress. Life got in the way and I quickly fell out of the routine...but I think I will re-start the blog, to track my progress, maybe inspire others, and to give people useful information on how to successfully get in shape. I'll post back here when I get it going next week.

Good luck rlm

Peace,
Larry

Been doing it; had a small hiatus from July to August last year on my relocation but have been back to running, weights and tennis with regularity since September

I miss my lap pool though = (

Keep it going Larry !

I'm always in my best shape, when I'm on a distant location show. So far, there's always been the hotel or condo gym, and/or pool/ocean, or hiking, or whatever, and lots of surplus energy, and none of the distractions of home. When I got back from working in Honolulu, I was six shades darker and twenty pounds lighter.

I've always tried to stay in moderate shape, but really kicked it up quite a bit more in the past couple of months, and even more so in the past month ... mostly in preperation for 235 Studios "Semele" film. I knew I'd be running a lot that morning, and wanted to only have to act like I was sucking wind, vs. actually fighting for my life from lack of oxygen.

Got up to where I could run three miles straight in a little less than 25 minutes, and was even able to do a mile in 5.57 .... nothing record breaking, but good for me considering I hate sports that involve a lot of back & forth running.

I'm a pretty regular gym guy, with a mix of weights yoga and aerobics on my schedule. But I tell you what, making a movie, especially on a small scale, takes a helluva lot of time, and can be pretty exhausting in of itself. The month of december, I had a documentary I was shooting, I was preparing for Dramafest (still working on it), and I was going through a job interview process and am now getting ready to move. On top of that, I wait tables. With my few, precious moments of free time, it's hard to get in that gym. When all is said in done, at least for me, you're talking a 2-3 hour process. You got to get the gym clothes on, get in the car, get to the gym, do your weights, do your aerobic thing, shower, and drive back home or to work or whatever. It can be tough.

But, I will say this. I never feel better than when I've been sticking to my routine. My big thing is, if I'm busy with other stuff, than so be it. But if I have the time, I'm there. And if I'm not there, that might mean eating healthier, or parking further away from the store, etc.

Started again back in October. Actually being consistent this time around, though. My theme is "pumping up to average" as I have a naturally twiggesque build. Dead sexy, baby. Dead. Sexy.

never seen the inside of a gym.... never find the time.

It's one of those things that once you make time for it, it becomes very easy to keep it in the roatation.

I feel physically ill when I miss a day... not hard to stay motivated when you feel like crap when you slack off

Same here. Last winter I used to run 4-5 miles a night, in addition to long-distance running on the school track team.

My best mile time ever was 5:45, which is pretty good I guess. I could probably run it now in 6 minutes flat.

December, although cold, is the best month to start running outside (maybe thats only possible in Texas) because the christmas lights help make your run more interesting. Good lights and upbeat music makes running a privilege compared to running on a treadmill or in a dark street.

Speaking of someone sexy losing her shirt, I see Trisha Helfer "gave it her all" on the latest Playboy magazine. You can search for "trish helfer darch-times" for a peek before buying this collector's issue. No wonder on Battlestar Galactica that Doctor Gaius Baltar fell for the Cylon number 6!

Some things are worth the exercise... Michael
