Hello everyone,
I shot some footage using a PAL miniDV camera (Sony DCR-HC85E)
and am going to edit it on my laptop using Premiere Pro 2.
The problem is, the final film has to be submitted on an NTSC miniDV tape format for playback on NTSC format players, screens etc.
So for the past few hours, I've been trying to figure out by myself what the
correct procedure is for setting up the project file but I'm stuck.
Could anyone please give me a hand?
This is what I have thought about so far:
-Footage is in Pal widescreen
-therefore, when setting up a new project on premiere, i will choose DV - Pal
Widescreen 48khz.
-then I capture the footage from the dv camera and go on with the editing.
-the editing is now done and ready for print back on to an NTSC DV tape.
-...........but how?? I am aware that PAL and NTSC are different in regards to pixel ratio (720x576 vs. 720x480) to fps (25fps vs. 29.97 fps) etc etc. I'm confused!
What do I have to do from here??
Please help me out, I'd really appreciate it! Thank you for reading.
