Hey guys,

I'm currently working for a big motion graphics branding agency based in philadelphia as a production intern. (www.concretepictures.com). I'm doing a lot of work here and its great, but one of the things that I think need a major change here is the time sheets. The company has around 25-30 employees, and everyone records their hours on a sheet than gets transferred to a self-made excel time sheet. It works terrible. The codes are constantly getting screwed up and its becoming more and more difficult as time goes on.

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of timesheet software that would include the following:

Employees name
Job Number related to each producer or creative employee
Hours on each job per two week period (each pay period)
total hours accumulated over each two week period - than total TO DATE

and other options such as that

If anyone has any help or knows any software that would be great, as i'm sitting here trying to re-write mathmatical code in excel (kill me.) Thanks ALL!!

yea i saw that, and REALLY liked it, but for a more personal use. I feel that the gorilla software is more for the independent film maker or small production company.

Our company does motion graphics for commercial branding. Therefore, we help brand specific channels or programs with use of motion animation.

Most of our jobs come from big clients such as ABC,CBS,TLC,DISC,etc

So i'm looking for a timesheet type of program, where all the employees can log their hours they have put in, into each job according to the job number

eg: John Doe worked on project ABC-001 for 3 hours on monday 2 on wed. and 1 on friday

he did this for 12 weeks
so for each two week pay period he worked:

14 hours

I need a program where the individual can log their hours and have it total in according to payperiod and than total running. Any non-production timesheet software would be acceptable as well. If anyone have dayjobs that use an applicatino like that, that information would be extremely helpful as well..

thanks a bunch!

you know whats funny, we have the program for scheduling but dont use it for timesheets. i'll have to take a real serious look at it now..

Oops! Sorry Joe- did not read through your whole original post.

There are tons of these programs available. What platform do you use? Mac or PC? I can recommend a ton of Mac programs that do this. We also use a website which can be used from anywhere, but the employee has to manual enter their time rather than having the program auto-track it for them.

That website is called: Basecamp

Where does the data go after it gets to the Excel spreadsheet? Is there any integration with other systems required for your application?
