Seeking a transition effect I've seen a lot lately..

Hi Guys.

I'm looking for a transition I've seen all over the place lately. It's kind of a film flash, but different than the nattress effect.
It simulates the kind of reddish-orange flares I see between stop/starts on my Super 8. The one I've seen is clearly a plug-in transition because every time I see it, it looks exactly the same.

Any ideas?

That is, indeed, the look I'm after, but I'm not sure how that is cut it. Is it a composite mode? I ask because the flash does not appear to have any other footage connected to it. It's laid right on top of the music video footage.

There's a newish video for Bob Dylan's 'When the Deal Goes Down' that uses that orange film clutter transition over and over again. The video features Scarlet Johanson and a bunch of folks dressed up in 1950s clothes and is supposed to look like old super 8mm film footage. The film flashes really sell the effect.

I use the bleach bypass filter in here all the time. that filter is wat better than MB's bleach bypass IMHO.
I agree. I use the nattress film effects package too. I like the film flash alot, but it doesn't look as nice as doing an overlay of those orangey clips taken from real filmed light leaks. The bleach bypass is tons faster than MB that is for dang sure.

Do you have the latest version MB?
It works much faster than previous versions.
Nattress Bleach Bypass just blows the lid off that one filter, IMHO.
Very flexible and can be used subtley or for a more extreme effect.
The MB one just seems to make things dingey and decrease contrast whereas the Natress Bleach Bypass seems to increase contrast nicely.
