Any 16x9 Bebob Box-FS Users?

Of the handful of Firestore solutions, this Box-FS looks smaller and much more rugged than the Jimmy Box. Kind of inflated to spend $400US on a metal frame with a sliding drawer though...

Since purchasing the extended battery for my Firestore the FS cradle I paid $150 for last summer won't be getting much use anymore (anyone looking to buy an FS hotshoe cradle??).

Meantime would like to hear from any Box-FS users. Thanks.

They actually admit there were problems, and have fixed them.
Hope the new ones are up to snuff.
Be aware it does add a noticable bit of weight, so I'd second guess using it in a hand held situation. For that I'd go with the DV Multi Rig Pro.

I use it and appreciate its sturdiness. No problems with the tightness that Ben mentioned, and I haven't dropped the FS. Sometimes I hang it from my belt or vest, on the back, to get the FS fan noise farther away from subjects, when operating close to people. Just secure the FW cable to something on the camera and on the FS.

Hi Ben,

the reason why we issue right now a new version isn´t due to problems but to the fact that the first batch of 1000 pieces has been sold already. 800 have been delivered so far in europe without any broken FS100 due to pressure or whatever, at least as long I know.

Nevertheless, we did indeed consider some of your comments and made changes that hopefully could satisfy your needs.
