Double The Avatar - M. Night officially insane

I think it's about time that M. Night do something different. Personally I think he should make a old fashioned western with no twist at all just a few old cowboys and girls going about there business for two and a half hours. That way people will stop expecting these amazing twist endings and just watch his movies to watch a movie.

I liked Lady in the Water, I thought it was funny and entertaining. I liked that he tried his hand in comedy a little more but I agree it is not his best. I liked Unbreakable and Signs a lot better and of course that one with the dead guy, oh what's it called ;) Personally I think he is rushing out his movies (it's about two years for each movie). I don't think he really fleshes out his ideas and story enough to make sure it all clicks together. But that is just my $0.02

I love the message behind unbreakable. What I got from it was -- if you're not doing what you're supposed to be doing in your life then you can't ever be happy. Once you find your direction then all things seem to click.

I agree, but I think he is someone who is better at sitting on things. I have a feeling the sixth sense was written for a long time and he worked on it and worked on it until he got enough money and bam it was huge. (I could be wrong) but I think he should flesh them out more.

It's is if you're James Cameron:)

Everyone's defniitely not a James Cameron. He can live off Royalties for a while. I couldn't see waiting more than 2 years a production, personally.

Sometimes a script takes years to be written and then re-written (Indy 4 anyone), he writes and directs. But that's not say I wouldn't want to see a movie from him every year even if it was only half as good.

In those years, other movies are released.

I agree, if your an amazing writer and direct, 2 years is a lot of time to do the writing, the pre-production, the production, and the post-production... so maybe I'm saying he isn't an amazing writer:huh: .

Now if he took on other people's scripts (which I think he should sometimes) I think he could bust out with a great movie every year... but because he writes and directs I, personally, wouldn't mind seeing him taking his time. I'll wait...

*waiting*

There may be pressure from Hollywood as well for him to shoot another hit movie. That's not an easy thing to do.

nobody back in Hollywood is pressuring him to do anything. his responsibilities lie with his friends at the Blinding Edge ranch.

Kholi,

I can't believe I'm agreeing with you. Wow!!! No hostility or sarcasm on this reply excluding the tag teaming, of course.
