Romo No-no -- Ah Hahahahaha!!!

I love it.

I love it love it love it love it.

After those first three games when Romo took over and the entire sporting world annointed him the king of football past present and future, after they said he was the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. After they said the Cowboys were guaranteed Superbowl champions - and I sat there and said, "He's played 3 games." And after he supposedly dated Jessica Simpson. After he finished every game with post-game interview cocky smirk that you wanted to slap right off cause you couldn't believe that this guy was actually buying into his own greatness. After he sat on the bench for 3 years. 3 YEARS! And now he's a football pariah?? After THREE GAMES??? Are you kidding me?

And then he botches a freaking snap and loses the entire season for the cowboys. All I have to say is one thing:

AHHAHAHAAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH

Bye bye Cowboys.

And bye bye Tony Romo. He will never ever recover from that.

Taunting is one part of sports that will forever elude me. It’s not enough for us to simply win. No, the victory must be sweetened by also heaping shame on the opponent. Sure, we can exalt our own team, but by all means let’s make sure we twist the knife in the other. Let’s trash talk.

There is a vilification in sports that is unhealthy. Just because someone wears a different color jersey does not somehow mean they are any less a human being. Heck, we all know that. Seriously, we do.

Even the most ardent of shame-heapers would, in a solitary moment like this, agree with all of the wholesome aspects of competition and shun the negative actions of those caught up in emotion and revelry.

The three of us, (my friends) said at the same time:

HE DROPPED IT?
(Even though he didn't really drop it.)

I don't get it. You're saying this is bad? :)

I am a life long Bronco fan from the days of the Orange Crush in the 70's...God I feel old....At any rate....This may sound childish but Denver's pathetic attempt at a season and their ridiculous choke at home against the 49'ers has me so anti-football right now that the entire sport is dead to me.

I'm not even sure if I care about the superbowl. Anyone else feel this way about their team/season?

I agree Terry

Nothing wrong with celebration, the fist pumps, the celebration. But running that kind of smack is ...

C.G. Eads; this isn't the SI boards, let us not act like it.

Go Broncos !

I'm a Green Bay fan living in Chicago. Talk about oil and water, sheesh. I LOVED it when Favre put the Bears in their place in the final game of the season. I further love that they (NBC) flexed the game so it was in prime time.

Romo is a NoGo. The Colts looked sharp and fast.

Yes, I agree, it's not like taunting and sports have gone hand in hand since their inception or anything.

I know you hate sports message boards, John. But sometimes you gotta let the caveman come out.

All I have to say is next year is Miami's year. although Ive been saying that since I was 8. God does Miami suck, but they will always be my team.

Bill Cower is either going to Dallas or Miami next year.

SWEET.

I would like to see San Diego take it this year.

Sheesh Terry. I always knew you were pretty smaat. But this post is incredibly well put and very eloquent.

Having said that, Football still has me sick to my stomach...a loss at home to the 49ers and a dead starting cornerback. At this rate, I am going to start watching competitive fishing.
