Weta Workshop has completed filming on this unique and extremely fun feature. Written and directed by Jonathan King, Black Sheep tells the story of what happens when an experiment in genetic engineering on a vast New Zealand sheep station goes horribly, horribly wrong. Trust us when we tell you that this film will change your perception of the 40 million cute and fluffy sheep in New Zealand!

For the project Weta Workshop is providing animatronic puppets, special make up effects and other trickery to bring killer sheep to life in gory detail. Joining us on this job are our friends Dave and Louise Elsey. Dave was recently nominated for a Special make-up Effects Oscar for his work on Star Wars, Episode III and their work on Farscape and Star Wars is recognized throughout the industry.

Yes but I added the WETA info in an edit, initially I thought it was a joke.
 
just saw the DVD of this film. I'm not a huge horror film fan, but this is in the vein of "Sean of the Dead" - though not as deadpan or funny in my opinion. Still it's pretty much a "must see" for the effects and clever factor.
 
Saw it, lots of beastiality, and other crude humor, great makeup effects, (reminiscient of American Werewolf), and plenty of gore.
