That guy is so funny, I want his songs on cd. How the .... did he do the sin city coller corrections. It looks like he is using the collercorrection 3-way, but I don't have the things under limit effects. Thanks for the link...
Very, very, very nice job eliot. I REALLY hope these tutorials catch on and become the new standard. I'm soo sick of the guys with the monotone voice, just going over information in the most boring way possible. They remind me of Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller's Day Off...
I only watched a bit, as I'm in a hurry, but I could tell just by that that they'd be informative AND entertaining.
Reminds me of Andrew Kramers tutorials (for AE) on the video coplilot website. And thats a GREAT thing.
How do you get the other epsiodes (archived) into Itunes? Episode 5 transferred to my ipod without any problems but I'm trying to transfer the other 4 episodes. Thanks.

The podcast is very well done, however, I think it's a drag having to convert the files in iTunes, though I've only watched it on the web, but in general... it's a drag.
What some podcasters are doing (including myself) is creating two version sof each episode: one for web display, and the other for use as media enclosures in the RSS feed that goes to iTunes and other podcatchers. Some podcasts have more than two options, offering an HD feed, for example.
This is how I prepare files for the video podcast I work on: I place large videos on the web page, but the RSS feed intended for iTunes has a second movie 320x176 (16:9) that's just right for the current generation video iPods. No conversion required, they play right away in iTunes and sync right up with the iPod. Both Compressor and ffmpegX offer presents for 320x240 and 640x480 iPod compatible movies.
With with a little extra work you can make lots of video iPod users happy. Yea, generating multiple versions is a drag, but in terms of end-user experience, I think it's worth it.
QuickTime Pro, only about $40, has a preset to make iPod format files at optimum quality. I subscribe to many PodCasts, many of them are FCP/Mac shows. If I have to spend time transcoding something, I trash it. I don't have time, there's too much other news to catch up on. Nothing personal, just how I work. If you post a PodCast to iTunes, I think it's perfectly resonable for me to expect it to simply be in iPod format already. Otherwise, why post it on iTunes for iPods in a format that's not compatable?
Seriously, if it's listed on iTunes, I subscribe to it, and I get the error message it's not in the correct format, that makes me doubt the compentency of whoever posted it to iTunes to be played on iPods. Especially a PodCast about VIDEO work.
Again, nothing personal, just trying to help with the mutual understanding here, it's all about marketing. Just general opinions here. I'm sure they're great PodCasts, but I just don't have time to transcode, I've too many others to get through, it's a very competative market, PodCasting is, believe it or not.
