My girlfriend got a cheap card that would let her cable and VCR plug into her computer so she could tape shows. She'd like to be able to burn these to DVD but the card only allows one to record in MPEG1, DivX, or uncompressed AVI. I can easily transcode the AVI in Encore 2.0 but just one hour long show is taking up 70 gigs of space which isn't really workible. Anyone know of any easier to use programs that will accept MPEG or DivX or of any better capturing programs than the software that came with the card?
