Happy Holidayze everyone!
I'm editing on FCP 4.1 with footage shot on the DVX100A (24pa/squeeze mode) and capturing correctly by checking the 16:9 box. Footage looks great on my JVC Hi-Res external monitor which I have connected to the DVX via S-Video.
Here's my question: While I am capturing footage in Log/Capture mode...Is there a way to display the timecode on the external monitor above the image? In other words...not the display from the camera (OSD out setting), but taken from FCP's reading of timecode from the tape. The problem with the camera's timecode display is that it lies right smack on the image (duhmmm...)
There are 3 white horizontal lines riding the top outer edge of the image on the external display (just in the black bars) but not on the image in FCP's log/capture window. Do these lines have something to do with a place to put a signal display of timecode? I checked FCP's help and found nothing. Also checked my monitor's settings and came up blank. Anyone know how to do this?
Thank you in advance!
