Movies You Would Rather Vomit On Than Watch Twice

Tell me what you did not like about it :bath:

Well... lets start with the beginning... I loved the beginning of the film... the fast edits, etc. But as it dragged along, and the shallow plot unfolds it just drags and drags and drags, and the zombie jokes stop becoming funny, and it drags and drags... and I feel like I've spent 6 hours watching the last 2/3 of the film by the time it's over... it just didn't work for me... I think it should have been chopped down considerably...

And then somehow you find a way to sit through a Robert Rodriquez movie and then tell us how great it is?????

YES. By the way... On Robert's films....

I HATE Desperado...

I Enjoy El Mariachi (just for the inspirational factor mainly)

And I truly enjoy Once Upon a Time in Mexico (Really love this film and it entertains me)

Haven't seen Sin City...

Which is really the only GOOD movie he's made, and that is because he had it all laid out for him. Let's face it, he's just not a good story teller. He was an inspiration because he was able to make a movie (El Mariachi) for very little bucks. But since then, he has shown a great inability to grow. I'll wait to see how he does on Grindhouse, though...

Damn it Brice

Go watch Sin City

It is not what you think (In terms of violating anything)

Or like close your eyes on a couple parts; and it's only a couple parts

and those parts are like hard PG-13

-

Sin City is RR's best film and you're not watching it

I gotta admit

I love RR but he's hack master part nine

Well, it's been fun guys, and yeah, I probably should sit down sometime and watch SC... thanks again for the fun discussion tonight.

Natural Born Killers (Almost walked out of the theatre it sucked so bad)
The Musketeer (just watched, hokey, hokey, hokey)
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (yea I know a lot of people like it, I dont).
Cutthroat Island
....More that are not coming to mind at this particular time.

Dissent of other posts: :)
Strange Brew (I like it for what it is, but then again, I like Bob and Doug McKenzie)

Shaun Of The Dead (Hey I'm not a fan of zombie films, but I like and own this one)

Sin City (Leaving the theatre I was dissapointed. However I got it on DVD and watched it a couple times and though it is not a favorite, it is interesting. Of course it helps to have a bunch of my favorite B actors, Mickey Rourke, Rutger Hauer, Powers Boothe, Jessica Alba, etc.)

puke-worthy in my book... something about each of these is nauseating...

Titanic
Forrest Gump
Lord of the Rings trilogy (specifically, the homoerotic "no, i love your more, frodo!" scenes)

Shaun of the Dead rocked my face off! if for no other reason than the execution of this reprised shot.

My all time worst
SHE DEVIL!
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098309/
blech blech blech

unfortunately I saw it in a theatre
fortunately I was 17 so we didn't watch it much after the 1st 10 minutes

but this movie is so bad it could keep a 17 year old dood from getting his mac on ...
so, it's the only movie I ever left just to go make out in a car because even having it playing in the background was like the sound of a dentist's drill.

Lot's of movies have simple plots including lots of RR.
But what works so well in Shaun is the layered theme and dramatic action.

spoiler alert
The theme or argument of the movie has something to do with being awake and alive in your own life. Shaun and his friend are so dead - meaning, in such non productive ruts playing video games and avoiding responsibilities that they don't even notice at first when zombies pop up everywhere around them. In the corner of Shaun's eye the zombies probably seem like other disaffected people asleep at the wheel in their own lives. It's not until all the shi* hits the fan that Shaun wakes up and starts to put his life in order.

At the end of the movie the "slacker = undead" theme is reinforced by the fact that Shaun and his reconciled girlfriend have decided to keep his now zombified friend alive on a chain because as it turns out, said friend can still basically lead the same life of video games that he did when he was alive. Despite the fact that he is a zombie now, he is much the same as he was at the beginning of the movie. Shaun is able to visit that lifestyle now but not have it be the only thing in his life. Caring for his friend and maintaining his reconciled relationship with his girlfriend will take attentive hard work.

RR movie didnt inspire me one bit. He gets away with low budget to make make low qualty movies. he even said when he did sin city He just helped get miller on his feet since miller is a graphic novelist RR just guided him and the image the rest was miller. I rather enjoy that thought of the movie.

Shaun of the Dead... great zombie film and great piece of writing. I tell you man i havent seen something that fun to watch in a while. it was a good film.

Anyway movies that make me sick.

Your list, not the Youtube video.

Okay, my list:

Solaris
Never So Few
Coffee and Cigarettes
Lost In Space
Lair of the White Worm
From Dusk Till Dawn
Wonder Boys

Thanks for posting that Shaun scene Cygnet 74, forgot that was all one flawless steadicam shot that's perfectly blocked- amazing!

It's cool to think about all the on set walkie talkie chatter while he was in the store getting the new extras in position in the same territory he just walked through "tall zombie in place" "cue the tall zombie" "now the old lady zombie" etc.

here's another baddy, and yet I get sucked into it sometimes on comedy central (like right this very instant) can't explain why
Rat Race
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0250687/
blech!

the last scene is somewhat decent due to message, but the movie still sucks
