Questions about sizing images and footage

I'm creating a promotional video that integrates some video footage and photographs, intended for both our web site (via YouTube) and distributable DVD's. Being new to Vegas and video editing in general, I've discovered that there is a lot to understand about how to prepare images.

Problem is, I don't even know the right questions to ask. I know that there are things I need to understand about RESOLUTION and the size of the images.

Is there a Vegas related tutorial somewhere that will explain that sort of stuff for me?

Resolution isn't such a big deal unless you're working with images smaller than 360x240 (which is basically the resolution for web videos). You will need to pay attention to two things:

1. The aspect ratio of the image.
2. The aspect ratio of the pixel.

Both will need to be uniform across all the footage you're using in order for them to completely fill the frame and not appear squeezed/stretched.

Both of these can be changed in Vegas and don't require any preparation outside of the program whatsoever, simply use the help index with Vegas.
