Thanks Jason, czar and everybody,

Even though the DVXUser community represents a small fraction of the CinePorter market, this is where I enjoy being the most. You guys have been the most open and willing to share your excitement, suggestions and concerns. This is why we did a group buy discount here, to thank you for your support.

Alright, you got it! How else could you use it on a stove? :)

Right on. That was one of the things I was weighing. How do I anticipate the short-Med-Long needs. Nicely done David! I'm getting more and more excited, other then spending the money, but sounds like it'll be owrth it.

Ted, The cable is long enough to fit the HVX or the SPX and there are 3 and 6 foot extensions available.

Jason, so much of what is new is internal, such as the new DMA architecture for offloading. We made this process as fast as possible. The only thing that can slow it down is your PC. And of course, there is that new Rem... feature. :)

So, where does the Ramjet name come from?

So, I understand the value of being able to use the fw/usb ports for field offloading/transfers, but would there be any disadvantage to me just sticking the cp-3 into my lappy's pcmcia slot at the end of the day, and offloading as I do my p2 cards. It would be faster wouldn't it? Or (this is the part that I love) editing straight off the cp-3, as I would my p2 cards.

Hmm... I will be able to explain the changes to the work flow after all the announcements. :)

I am wondering if we'll be getting an informative cineporter christmas gift tonight or in the morning...... :)

David, you should re-render that animation, so the green sheet blows just a little further and replace it on the site.... but not tell anyone! See how long it takes for us to notice....

4 new buttons! Sweet! Don't know what they do, but sweet!

It's not what they do, but what you can do with them! :)

The displays are still buttons, but we found that the two buttons were limiting the ease of use and the "depth" of the menu functionality.

When is this thing coming out? THis is one of the longest teasers I've seen. Now we get a F blanket covering the thing (huh).

Stop teasing us and give us a date, the more the months go by the more i think this is BS. You said it was a supplier issue back in sept. It's Jan 2007 in a week, and no sign of a date, final design and anything other.

I don't mean to sound antagonistic but it's time someone called you out on this. I guess you're really enjoying the sticky that dvxuser has so generously given you.

If this is actually hitting the market then say so with a commitment and if panny is not granting any licenses with their input p2 interface then say so before we find out through the grape vine.

Just be upfront. that's all we're asking...and that blanket is pretty out there. Yoiu shoiuld of doen that from the get go, too late for it now.

I understand your frustration nycfilmmaker, but I think you're missing the point. Perhaps our mistake was to include the users in the development of the CinePorter, but this is the only way we can get enough input to make the product truly yours! It takes years and most companies don't announce anything until the product is almost ready, to ease frustration. Look at the HVX. It was delayed for some time. Would you have rather been kept in the dark until it was released? How could any of your suggestions ever make it into the design?

I have repeatedly said that if you want, I'll be glad to shut up and take all the information down until the CinePorter is ready. And if you think that I'm just here for fun and somehow need this, well, you're sorely mistaken! I'm here for you. I want to ease frustration as much as possible and make this product something you guys can count on. I don't need to be involved at all. I have three Corporations to run and a family to care for. I can just let all the departments do their thing and it'll be ready when it's ready. I'm also not going to reveal confidential information about suppliers, licenses or anything else, no matter how much you want me to be "upfront" about it! You know, after a year of hard work, I find your comments very offensive!

I agree with you on the offensive part. You are definitely correct in taking your time to get the product right. The company i work for manufactures tactical gear, and we hold ourselves to the highest quality standards possible, and that is what has grown our company to the size it is now. We took almost 3 years releasing a gun holster because it was not completely correct, and we are glad we did because it is an absolutely amazing product that has done very well for us, as well as the soldiers who use it every day. It is very frustrating to me how companies release a product to the market before it is ready, more especially software companies, but this applies to any market. David, thank you for taking your time, and thank you for including us in the development of your product. It is truly great to see an American company develop a product like this and keep up the good work!!!
