i know few of us have the same combo, can anyone help me ,what is the best setting to get the best result , i tried few but it doesnt look good as i seen with footage posted here, but everytime i ask theme i get no aswer

We used a zoom of 17 and a focus of 76
These settings are viewable in the lower right of the flip out LCD.
This is with the HD macro lens from REDROCK attached.
With this setting we were able to get critical focus on the spinning glass with no distortion or vignetting.
Also I know this is stupid, but make sure the glass is spinning, it looks horrible with out it spinning.
We also prefer the hard mount to the soft, more clean and more secure.
I dont recommend hard mounting at all - you cannot fine tune the adapter to camera distance if you are hardmounted and that is critical for edge to edge sharpness
Hey Smelni,
I might be wrong on this one, but I think the critical distance is from the mounted lens to the Ground Glass. The distance from the Ground Glass to the camera (ie. distance from the adapter to the camera) is not as crucial.
This is just my understanding, but feel free to correct me.
Thanks,
Luis
the distance from the lens to the ground glass is the flange distance and effect backfocus. THis needs to be correct in order for your focal lengtjs pn the barrel to be accurate. THis is not very critical at all as long as you can focus to at least infinity (though ideally infinity is at the correct mark).
the camera to ground glass distance is much more critical as this will effect your edge to edge sharpness - if this is not correct you not have edge to edge sharpness. THe only way to set this is with a focus chart and trial and error. I do this EVERY time i put the adpter on - I use a chart and set this until the edges are sharp when the center is
