Crossfade jitter

Hi,

I'm editing a wedding video, and for most dissolves that I use there is jitter in the bright parts of the footage.
I used a color correction, some filters and magic bullet together to get the look I want, and whenever I put the crossfade, there is jitter. It only does that while it's in crossfade, just before and after are fine. and it onlly happens to bright parts of the footage. When I put the crossfade to the original footage (without any filters and magic bullet) there is no jitter.

I tried using broadcast safe, de-interlace, and all kinds of other stuff, but it doesn't do anything.

Has anyone run into the same problem before?

Please help!

I bet you're judging by your computer screen, huge mistake. Judge it on an external monitor or TV. Also, make sure it's rendering fully. Go to your Sequence menu and make sure all levels of rendering are checked off.

I have a production monitor and a regular CRT TV sitting right beside me, and I always see them when I'm editing. So, I'm not making any mistakes. It has rendered fully, and all sequence render settings are right.
I know the basics of FCP editing since I've been editing with it for 3 years now. That's why I ask here because I've never ran into something like this before.
Now I see it, it's not the brightest part of the screen, it is actually only the bottom part of the screen that makes the jitter, not all the time though, just when the scene is kinda bright.

Could be, I get it from time to time. You actually can combine the right set of filters, and then some transitions just won't play well. Especially the Cross Fade.

If that's the case here, the work around is to put the incoming video, and the outgoing video, on seperate tracks and keyframe the Opaicty of the one on top. Same cross fade effect, without the Cross Fade transition plug-in being applied. Try that out.

K. I got it now.
The problem was the filter.
I was using one of those free plugins called TMTS filters, and I think there is a problem with their filters. When I got rid of it and used the G filter (also a free one), it gave me the exact same look without the jitter!

BenB, your way of tweaking the opacity worked too. It's kinda weird...I don't know if there are some bugs on FCP cross dissolve or something. It's been OK though...just this filter giving me the weird symptom. I'd rather blame the free filter tho.
