Find the cost of Cinesaddle way high for what it is.
Gotta be a better alternative.
Thinking of using polystyrene pellets in a canvas bag.
Anybody made a home built of this bean bag camera stabalizer idea.
Maybe plans, pattern?

..just don't try and weigh down a c-stand with it. ;-)

That's what I fugured.
Have sourced a canvas material.
Those poly beads/pellets are expensive to buy retail.
Will call some local plastics manufactuers for cheaper source.
 
Sorry to bump a truly old thread, but while looking into a DIY cinesaddle i just bought a used bean bag at a thrift shop for 3 dollars. I'm just going to gut it.
 
Can I ask - what is the cinesaddle mainly used for?

I need something to set on the windowsill of a car to shoot outward. Will it work for that, to dampen the vibrations and shocks?

Yep, it's really good for that. I have never tried foam beads but they might help absorb vibration better from the car.
