Does cavision shoulder mount go on a tripod ?

[Mathew Knight]

Hi can anyone confirm for me if the cavision shoulder mount (http://www.cavision.com/rods/RS1580.htm) will also mount onto a tripod or do you need to remove the shoulder mount before you can put it on a tripod.

I am looking for a shoulder mount that I can leave on the camera permanantly and put it on and off the tripod quickly to go from handheld to tripod shooting.

And does anyone know of any other shoulder mount for the HVX that will do this ?

Mathew,

I've not done it with mine, but I see no reason why not. Even if the shoulder mount is in your way a bit, you can quickly reset it.

It will mount onto a tripod. I have one and a sachtler dv6. You can mount the sachtler plate under the cavisionplate.
