Paul Shaffer from the David Letterman show. More annoying that Keanue Reeves, Nicolas Cage and Val Kilmer rolled up into one. Am I alone?

I used to like him, a long time ago but yea he is annoying when I even take the time to stop on that channel. As Capt Quirk says though.... Gilbert Gottfried is the worst (along with Fran Drescher).

Yes, but Gilbert does it on purpose. Paul thinks he's clever. (It's not that his ideas are bad; it's just the delivery that sucks.)

Fran is just a type. Over-emphasized.

I gave up on Letterman after the first or second season. After the Tonight show replaced Carson with Leno, I stopped watching it too. Somehow, when Letterman hosted the Tonight show, he was at his best. But neither of them are anywhere as hilarious as Carson was.

letterman isn't funny. I miss Craig Kilbourn although that scottish guy that took over is pretty darn funny too.

both Letterman and Lenno are so P.C. I concider switching to Mac.

I actually like Letterman still. But he was MUCH funnier when he was still on NBC. I think he had better writers. Conan O'Brien is pretty funny. I remember when Conan first started out. He was so lucky he didn't have any competition because the Execs at NBC were real patient with him. For the first year or two Conan was visibly nervous during his opening monologue.

And Morten, that Scottish guy is great.

PS I still cant stand Paul Shaffer.

Hmmm... what I really can't stand is Letterman's attitude towards Shaffer. He's come's off as an arrogant prick, in my opinion. He's always cutting him off, belittling him, and just acts like he's better than Paul (or anyong else for that matter). I think Mr. Letterman needs to remember he's there to interview celebrity's, not get the celebrity "stuck up" attitude himself.

He just seems like a really bad human being to me.

Eh... who am I to talk... I only know what I see on television.

P.S. Refering to "that scottish guy" (craig ferguson)... has anyone ever seen the movie "Saving Grace"?? good stuff.

Six years later, I agree with all of that.

Cheers.
