It's the most wonderful time of the year!

The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear

Hey I do a great version of O Holy Night...gets requested every year at our church. Perhaps I'll record it this year and post it :)

And, yes, I too love that movie...I've already seen it three times this holiday season and it's not even December yet :)

Has anyone ever seen the TV Movie "Special Delivery" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0258978/)? That is another funny one. They usually show it on the ABC Family Channel (or whatever its called now) during their 25 days of Christmas programming.

Hmmm.... wonder if some of us here would be interested in getting together and making a Christmas short for next year?

The other thing that is wonderful about this time of year (at least in So Cal) is the quality of light. This is about the only time of year when shooting day time exteriors isn't such a horrible challenge. With the Sun low on the horizon, there is an extended number of hours of day when you can get some really nice footage without resorting yards of silk.

Yep, I am lensing two dramafest entries over the next 6 weeks. Just booked a spec commercial project and if the weather holds, I will be taking advantage of the great light over the next few days (fingers crossed).

Hats off to ya Khmuse...Two fest entries in six weeks, where do you find the time:)

No....I am seeing your future reply

Mino, I find the time by not posting here so much and actually shooting some footage!

Well, I want to chime in and say that I love this time of year as well. There were times when I didn't. Like the years between childhood and having my wife and her family to share it with. Having someone I love to give joy and happiness to just makes this time so special. And it's not just the gifts, though I go crazy spoiling her.... it's the time that we spend around the tree with the fire going. The time that we spend together making choclates. The time that we spend celebrating the holidays. It truly is wonderful for me.

And I must say, having been raised in CA, there is nothing Christmas in New England. The colonial homes, trees and lakes... covered in snow. We even have covered bridges here. It is so Norman Rockwell!

As much as I hate the cold of New Hampshire and hope to live back in California.... I'll always want to come back to New England for the holidays.

It really is someting special.

Funny... I actually like the mild temperatures of CA on Christmas... but today it was 32 degrees outside at 8am! That's COLD for CA!

I agree that it is funny. I am always telling people up here that on Christmas, I used to get a bike or skateboard and immediately go outside and play. But here you get skis, gloves, wool hats! I missed the mild temps at Christmas for so long. Maybe, after (gulp!) 17 years of New England Christmases I am just grown use to them. There is nothing like having Christmas Eve and Day with the snow falling. BUT, then I am done with it! I want it to be 70 and sunny!!!

Our first scrooge of the thread!

C'mon, what's the story? Did a relative suffocate, jammed in a chimney while playing Santa Claus...?
