Render issues with MXF import of p2 footage

I have two g5's. One will import MXF files into FCP and I can playback immediately without having to render.

The other forces me to render before playback.

What settings have I changed between the two?
 
I'm guessing your project setting is for 720 24p and maybe one of your MXF files is 30p? or something else 1080i. Either way one of them is probably not the same as your project. edit: my bad I thought you had two different MXF fles. But maybe it's the project setting on one of the g5's?
 
Nope. Checked that. I have no idea what's up with it, though. Maybe there has to be another update on the other computer.

Some where your footage and sequence settings simply don't match. That's the only thing that can cause you to have to render.
 
I'll try it again today.

What are the settings to avoid having to render? The only thing I do on this G5 is import and I'm fine.
