Can you use a Schneider ZU1 lens on the HVX200?

Anyone know what the difference is between the Schneider .7X HD W/A CONVERTER HDV for the FX1/ZU1 http://www.schneideroptics.com/ecommerce/CatalogItemDetail.aspx?CID=1075&IID=869

and the .75X W/A CONVERTER HVX200?

The price is different by quite a bit. Could I use an 82-72mm stepping ring and use the Sony version on the HVX 200?

Or is there more to it than that?

You'd encounter terrible vignetting, ironically right where the WA adapter adds to the FOV. It's pointless.

Right, won't work. The mount is different, Schneider lenses don't use lens threads, they bayonet on. It's a much more secure mounting system, and very simple to put on/take off, but it's only applicable to one particular camera because each one's bayonet system is different.

OK thanks. Was offered the lens cheaply but it would be false economy!
