Canare Star Quad (is it really the best?)

Hi Matt - PM'd you for some cables & haven't heard back - Noticed your absence from the boards so wasn't really worried (but we really really miss you!) Hopefully you've landed that gig as head sound guy for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue video for the deaf and are currently on location in Figi wishing you had more lavs to hide - but just in case it's just the pm that got lost, plse drop contact info to rleggat@attglobal.net when convenient. Thanks & best wishes - Bob L.

now you got me all excited about cables too! Am interested, so please PM me if you are still running the assembly line.
thanks

Pixelated got his cables weeks ago... I have a couple of these posts now which imply that I'm ignoring PMs about cables so I want to clarify that YES you can get cables from me at any time! In the past 2-3 months things have really taken off for me... I've been doing sound for projects that end up on Discovery, History, commericals, and for national political figures (that air on local news)... and with the nature of this work... it's still surges of "feast or famine"... so when it's feast I need people to be a little more patient with me.

Here's the breakdown... and rather then repeat everything that's already in this thread I'll just say that I'm not making much on these and I'm certainly not trying to "hard sell" anybody in any way... this is an offer, not a business. If you compare to B&H xlr cables then I'm cheaper for a better cable... if you compare to Markertek's cheapest mic cables then I'm slightly more for a better cable, if you compare to the most comparable cable that Markertek sells, the DA-206 Canare Digital XLR cable, then I'm a lot cheaper for a better cable.

100'/ $80
50' / $45
25' / $29.50
15' / $25
10' / $21.50
7' / $20
6' / $19
5' / $18
4' / $16.50
3' / $15
1.5' / $14.50

Then after that you can add options to any cable and the cost is the same regardless of the length because it's only a matter of terminations. This is PER CABLE not per end.

Black/Gold NEXT GENERATION Neutrik Connectors / $3
Color Coded Neutrik Boots / $2
Color Coded Neutrik Rings / $.50
Black or Blue RipTies for Cables that are 10' and UNDER / $2.50
Black or Blue RipTies for Cables that are 15' to 50' / $3.25

Matt- Are the Neutrik connectors the better choice, and do they come in 90 degrees?

Neutrik are the best XLR connectors that are out there, I'd say!
Highest quality, made in Liechtenstein!

the connector have 8 positions for internal legs settings , you need to draw correctly what relative angle you need the connectors
quit important when you have additional connectors around

Please PM me if you want a cable... I don't want to do transactions on the forum... I just don't think this is a cool use of the public space.

Also... a 90 connector at the DVX only works well in the top, ch1 input... so you may want to rethink that cable if it's for an on-cam mic.

Finally... I ONLY use Neutrik connectors.

Why not? Been waiting a month for my buddy with a music store to get one ordered. On the bright side, he gave me a 3' to use, so that I don't have to have a 15' rolled up and wiretied to the handle anymore.

On a few orders I was a little slow... but if you ask anybody that got a slow order (meaning over a week wait) then they should tell you that I included at least one good freebie.

Normally I can ship cables out within 24 hours of receiving payment.

Hey Matt- Still waiting for you to respond to my PM. I'd like a 1' with 90s on both ends. Let me know how much, and where to send the payment.
