Wii

If you havne't tried it you MUST try the Wii. I got my hands on the controller and Wii sports and there is no other gaming system that can come close. It truly is revolutionary.

Will you buy a Wii?

Heck yeah i'm buying one. Wanted to buy one since day one when I first heard about they were making a new nintendo. Where did you play it at?

There is a Gamestop here in my area that was putting up their display unit kiosk and they let me have a crack at it. LOVED it and was sold immediately. My kids will be in hog heaven.

I was told that the mall (a Westfield mall) was setting up 10 Wii consoles in the mall for people to enjoy. I'm excited (and over 40) about it because it was really fun.

I'll buy one. I have an XBox 360 (and love it)...but I respect Nintendo for doing something different. Wii looks to be creative and fresh.

But, will you freeze yourself, so that you don't have to wait the two weeks?
Me, I'm happy with the PS2. My boys will NOT know about the new game. I will not own an expensive game system named after a bodily function.

It does sound cool though!

the main reason I am buying one will be the $250 price tag, compared to the 360 and PS3.

Oh and of course... Zelda: Twilight Princess

see this really bugs me:

I want the Wii because it looks like a lot of fun. But then the only game I've been excited about in years comes out only on the PS3 platform: Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire which leaves me little choice in the matter. Although I hate shooters and I'm not particularly fond of the Gundam tv series I am obsessed with the robots and I've been waiting forever for a game where you actually get to play them in a "real" environment rather than the stupid Mortal Combat type arenas.

why can't they just make games that work on all consols? I'm not going to buy more than one so now I'm really screwed.

There are over 30 titles coming out by Christmas as well as the connectivity to get GameCube games via download.

I'm onboard and am looking forward to Red Steel and actually having a sword in my hand instead of the old way.

I'd like to get the Wii, if only to download all the old nintendo games to it for free. I don't like the controller though. Gaming is supposed to be a lazy activity, not an active one LOL. It's only $250, and well worth it for the free game downloads!

My 2 cents:

Nintendo Wii: Really cool gameplay and price tag. It suffers a bit because beyond the controls, it has only slightly better hardware than the Game Cube. I wish Nintendo went the extra mile and at least gone High Def.

Playstation 3: Wow, what a disappointment. I played it last night and it was kind of lame. Despite it being delayed, Sony rushed it to the market. The couple games I played didn't look so hot, perhaps even unfinished. The online aspect was so blah. $600 and all this craziness in line?! Heck no! Maybe in a year or so Sony may develop it to be a lot better. Right now: way overhyped!

Xbox 360: Here's your best bang for the buck. Games are fantastic and the online experience is solid. Plus it is cheaper than the PS3. AND you can buy one easily!

I was at the west coast launch party. Doing coverage for the company i work for.

I dunno. His glowing red eyes sure scare the crap out of me.

From what I'm hearing, Wii kicks PS3's ass already...

Waited in line for 1 of 60 Wii's last night. 7pm to 8am. By 5am there were a 100 people in line. by 7am 150. We were 11-16 in line. All i can say is its a flawless gamin experience. I only spent 700 as well. 4 games. a ton of accessories. Bowling is amazing. My brother never plays games with me but we played 2 hours of bowling. Nintendos venture and idea is a success!
