I try to keep it open to interpretation on a movie to movie basis. Like I really enjoy Jim Carey and Jack Black but haven't seen any of his movies for a while.

Ever since 'Closer' Clive Owen has been a MUST SEE in a retro Thursday night NBC sort of way to me. The guy is simply amazing and goes way beyond what is on the page and creates memorable and incredible characters. He might be the best actor working today... might...

Very clever Callaghan and true. i agree with your PRO list completely. With everyone of 'em, except for maybe Tom Cruise anymore. I know this isn't a list thread, so I won't rearrange your list in order of favs (Clints first...gotta throw that in there)...but I would also add:

Will not under any circumstance:

Edward Furlong. (excluding T2 of course)... now he is strictly a B/C list actor, without an once of talent in his Mr. Burns like body. I unfortunately watched "Intermedio" and the last Crow debacle, 2 movies he faked he could act in, and now cringe whenever I see him on the cover of any dvd.

Tara Reid can't act, so she's definitely on the no way in hell list.
 
I could care less about actors. It depends on what the film is about and who directed or wrote it. There are actors I hate, but if I liek the director or the idea fo the film, I'll give the stars a chance. Not a fan of Keanu Reeves either (HOORRIBLE in Much Ado About Nothing), but I saw A Scanner Darkly and Thumbsucker anyway. Same thing with Ben Affleck in Good Will Hunting and Chasing Amy. It all just depends I guess. I can respect Nicholas Cage. I loved him in Adaptation and Raising Arizona.

Nick Cage, Keanu Reeves, and Cusack should be shot! Tom Cruise can be added to that list. He isn't the same kid that was in The Outsiders. He strikes me as being hollow. I don't hate the guys. I think their acting sucks. Maybe being unrealistic is the thing to be these days. Maybe we should employ models to do all our acting. Those guys come well developed.
