Gun effects, sounds...

I was wondering what the best special effect plug-in was for adobe premiere or After effects.
I need one that can be used for gun shots, smoke, flashes, blood, anything like that.
Which one looks the most professional?
Thanks in advance.

Look at their Action Movie Essential pack, got everything you asked for. You can composite the stuff on top of the footage in both Premiere and AE. How good it looks depends on your skill.

Or you can search online for free gun flash graphics and composite it yourself in AE.

Thanks for your help, but im having alot of trouble with overlaying the footage onto my video. I followed a guide for adobe premiere that said i should use the "Track Matte Key" effect onto the clip, then set the matte to video 3, then set composite to matte luma, resize the clip and put it into postion with the gun, and presto! Well it didn't work out like that for me. At first, the drop-down setting for "matte" just said "none". Than after clicking around, it magically said "video 3", which i still cannot figure out how to pull up automatically. So i checked each frame and it looked nice. Than i pressed play. The whole gun flash clip looks like its opacity level is turned down almost all the way when i play the gun flash clip. But when i scroll through, frame by frame, it appears that everything is fine. Not sure why this is, but it's really been pissing me off!
If anyone can help, i would appreciate it!

Instead of using track matte, use a Color Key. I'm assuming that the gun flash graphic has a black or uniformed color background. Select the color of that background and Premiere will eliminate (key out) that color, leaving just the flash itself.

I used Action Essentials and it wasn't that great. I've been told BY ALOT OF PEOPLE the muzzle flashes on my film sucked after I used them so... Yeah... You can go see it for yourself:

Adobe AE produces the best results I think. But its a lot of work and might kill your computer in the process (As it did mine so I gave up).

Yeah it's alittle late for me now, i just bought them. But i think certain effects work well, like the blood and the sparks. I'll just have to go elsewhere for muzzle effects.
BTW i did see your movie, i think it looks amazing regardless of the few cheesy muzzle effects. There is one part in your movie where a grenade is thrown and a nice explosion follows. I was wondering if that was real or just fake smoke from the action pack. Also, where did you get all your sound files from for the guns?
Anyways, great job man!

Hi,

The muzzle flashes do look a bit weak, but the overall product is very good.

I enjoyed it.
