Hi!

Is it possible somehow to change the audio tracks only from the .avi file? For example, if I have one stereo track abd one video track in .avi file...is it possible to change the audio track only without having to touch the video file? I mean, if I'm using the DV AVI-compression, and I want to change the audio tracks only, and I would not have to recompress the video again...Just leave the video track just like it is and change the audio track. Hope you got it.

Thank you.

Not exactly sure what you're trying to do...but you can right click on the file in the timeline, then select "unlink." Then you can delete or move the audio without effecting the video track. If I'm way off then just ignore my post.

Dropping it on the timeline, modifying only the audio, and then re-exporting as a DV-AVI shouldn't recompress the video if you haven't touched it.

Unless you've got your settings set to "always recompress". poke around in preferences for that.

yah u can just export the audio alone(or unlink), and take it to whichever software, do your thing(honey)...and bring t back to premiere and link it back wit the original video and youre done.
