Tenacious D in: 'The Pick of Destiny'

i'm a big fan of the album and the HBO show, but this looks like a stinker -- it seems like they're rehashing way too much of the D saga from HBO. Sasquatch does nothing for me.

I didn't know there was a show!

I thought it looked pretty silly, on the same level as "Dude, Where's My Car?" and "Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle". But that's a good thing.

Other than some stuff that contradicts the original album (like KG teaching JB the c*** pushup in the movie, but on the album it was JB who taught KG) I enjoyed the film. It was funny. Not everyone's cup of tea, but it was mine. The Sasquatch scene made me laugh, and Ben Stiller and Tim Robbins cracked me up. It's worth going to see in theaters. There were a bunch of great lines, but they can't be repeated on the board LOL.

Just got back from seeing this, and it rocked. It rocked my socks off.

I think if you're not a Tenacious D fan and don't know their work, it won't be nearly as funny. I'm a huge fan, and all the references to the album and the show just cracked me up.

I want JB's guitar sooo bad, that double cutaway is sick.
