I was ready to get the M2 before I read it flips the image. I can't see myself standing on a beach shooting surfers with that setup.

so what is the best alternative? How about the Century 2x for the HVX?

thanks,
td

The Century 2x is great and sharp, but it is NOT fully zoom-through.

If you consider it a 2x prime, then you wil be fine.

Also, it is a HEAVY bastard, so make sure you have a nice set of rails to support it.

How do you support it with rails? It appears to simply bolt or screw on the front.

thanks

It does attach directly to the HVX.

It also comes with a connector thingy that attaches to the rails, and then you can rest the 2x on it, thereby taking alot of the weight off of the HVX.

Abelcine has very good prices on the Century lenses. Unfortunatly I have found the 2x to be backordered in most places.
