NEW editing game.... AV GEEK style

Ok, so my friend and I have invented a new game...
We call it swapMEAT (using 2 ppl example)

Step 1: Take enough footage to fit on on DVD-R (4.7GB) and burn it to a DVD-R.
Step 2: Give a copy of DVD-R to each person
Step 3: Edit a 5 min piece using the footage you've gathered however you want.
Step 4: Give the 5 min rendered piece to the other person.

---------------------------------
Here are the rules:

The video given to you must remain on the top layer. You can color correct it/chroma key it all you want, and it can be cut up and rearranged, but you can only append video, not given to you, underneath this layer.

Any audio can be used, but the previous editor must provide their original audio.

Any video added must be from the DVD-R that both people have.

Each person must cut the piece down by half (5 min, 2:30....) but the time cannot be less than 1 min.

Each editor has 48hrs to swap the piece back to the other person.

I'll post our first attempt once Its done.

that rule confuses me

Basically, you are stuck using the compiled video the previous person sent, so you can rearrange what they have given you but never put new material in. If you decide to chroma/mask out some top layer and append something from the DVD-R underneath it, that's allowable.

are you allowed to scratch the other persons DVD to slow down their copying time?

or put a virus (PC) on their machine?

that would make things interesting :)
