help calibrating a Sony PVM-1351 Monitor

Hi,

This monitor was given to me. I have the manual and reset everything to its base settings.

Can anyone give me pointers on color settings, gain, etc. or simply what works best? I'll be editing 24PA footage in FCP [NTSC].
