;)

i couldn't get the trailer to work. i'll try to watch it on a different computer

I saw it at a local film festival. I liked it - wife didn't like it. I read their site afterwards and appreciated the manner in which it was done. The whole movie is basically improv'd around scenarios.

The footage was good. Not great - but definitely cinematic. It's the situations you remember from it, though, not necessarily the visual elements. Of course, the DVX would have helped them to shoot in the manner that they did (i.e. throw everything in a van with a couple of friends and take a road trip)

It's definitely worth seeing. Hopefully it will come out on DVD soon. It's been picked up for distribution.

I saw this film last night.

Some interesting characters and good acting, but I thought the cinematography was atrocious. Tons of unmotivated zooms and focus shifts. It was very distracting. Not a good example of what the DVX is capable of at all.

I read they also used a 35mm adapter. Don't know which brand though. I liked it. But I have to agree they cinematography could have been better. Hey, it's in theathers now and it's a good film. If I can get the same response these guys got with my next film I'm one happy camper.

i'm watching it right now. doesn't look like 35mm adapter was used to me. and the zooms have the characteristics of the dvx's fixed lens.

From the trailer, I've seen better cinematic footage from the DVX.

Footage - yes, no question there area many other DVX projects that look much more 'cinematic.'
Story and performances - I've seen very few DVX movies that can match it (in my opinion).

...it seems like it's having great success though. Cheers to them.

No kidding.

The Duplass brothers have a new one playing at Sundance this year - 'Baghead.'
I can't wait to check it out.
