The above mentioned are absolutely essential viewees (if it's not a word, then it damn well should be) for any self-respecting film buff...

But I'll offer some other incredible films (starring and/or made by the legends responsible for↑those classics.) Many of the following have been :crybaby:unfortunately:crybaby: overlooked by audiences of today at large.

-The Man Who Knew Too Much

We are into film discussion...and You should know better than to try such shenanigans.

It is a huge source for movies many haven't seen, and I did mention it was political as a deterent to anyone who wouldn't be interested. I didn't support or espouse any point of view, nor dispute or question the views of any others, nor would I on this board. One's agreement with a particular film or television show's POV or content does not determine whether it exists in that particular medium or not, and as I saw it, the question was where can you find films if you've seen everything. Case in point....

I really don't like the content of "Birth Of A Nation", but I would strongly recommend other filmmakers see it if they haven't, if only for the history. Moreover, my opinion of the subject matter or content has absolutely NO bearing on whether it is a film or not.

Also there is a entirely politically agnostic business model going on with this thing, resulting in the hosts of screenings getting their DVD copies for free, a model which could and should be applied to ANYONE'S films who are just looking to get some eyes, and in turn move some DVD copies. Free is even cheaper than renting by all accounts. This should be going on in the larger indie film community, but it's not. Filmmaker gets to keep all DVD sales from screenings, host of the screenings keeps the proceeds, but has to put up any advertising and/or spend time on word of mouth. It's a win win, and for the host, it is way cheaper than renting. Perhaps such a business model could be applied as a seperate part of DVXUser - building a network of hosts from within the membership. Sorry if you took offense, but I meant nothing of the sort, nor did I want to discuss, or even think about politics - heck I'll even delete the original post if you really want me to. As I saw it, my comment only had to do with film, and was prefaced with a caveat.

Appreciated.
...But thems the rules.

It doesn't say no politics, religion or porno (unless "prefaced with a caveat" stating such)

Done, and done.

You can delete the first response (msg. #25) to mine as well, since it has the address. The other stuff can probably stay, as no one will really know what the heck we're even talking about. All's well that ends well.

Methinks I might propose this business model over in the business thread, unattributed of course, however "not mine"*, you agree it could really benefit ALL of us, right?

*Because it's not MY idea. It's just a good one.

Duct Tape, you are a stand-up guy.

Cheers to ya:beer: That was a classy move, my man.

Edit:
Personally i would think you are gonna catch flak anywhere with that link, but you shouldn't ask me...ask one of the powers that be.

It's been discussed on other threads, but only pertaining as to HOW the animation was done, and not in any way what the movie was about. That's simply for another board.

BTW - I outlined the idea I wanted to get out there in a completely non-political way over on the business thread.

About being a stand up guy, my wife thinks I sit down too much - especially when editing!!!
