Brevis on OCT19 and PL steroids.

At long last...the Brevis now has both PL and OCT19 mounts. They're modular, meaning adding a PL to the OCT19 or vice versa is cheaper than getting two complete kits. Pictured is a very nice T1.5 28mm LOMO cinema lens. We'll have footage shortly.

I'll be doing up a nice little test using a 50mm Minolta Rokkor on SLR film, then the Brevis, and then a LOMO 50mm cinema. I'll comment on any issues (like breathing) in that test.

Emanuel, I'd love to help Jim...but with his budget, I'd have to think that a PL and OCT19 mount would be a trivial issue for him, no?

No, not for us, his CUSTOMERS! I'd bet you would have 600 RED owners interested and only by now... Also 'cause the RED zoom lens is delayed until late 2007. The only options are the rental (not mine) and the still photography lenses Nikon F and Canon mounts (breathing hassles).

Some of these lenses are the same with which the russians used in their space program.

hey dennis, the brivis will Rock with a PL mount. Oh god... Cookes.... so nice. have you got a rail support system established yet?

Yes, we've had one for months..however the Brevis to rails adapter is being tweaked to accomodate the heft and torque of these monster lenses. We have a matte box solution coming too. It is just waiting for some mount parts.

Yep. It's basically the same idea, but will include a CNC top clamp to make the mount very, very strong. Combined with the Brevis carbon fibre chassis, the whole combination will be rock solid. We'll be adding features to the rails too...and these will be backwards compatible, and modular too.

The ability to mount upside down etc. will all be available by just adding modules.

oo cant wait. i am gettin a PL mount. After using Cooke lenses, there is no substitute. Screw Canon/nikon. Rent Cookes.
