The Horror Fest Entry That Wasn't

Didn't want to put this in the fest forum. Didn't think it was worth the bother putting it in the Clips forum.

So it's here. :)

After my actors punked out, leaving me high and dry, I decided not to waste all the setup I did (and the money). I've been using these fests for learning stuff...the last one for CG (apparently it needs talent and ability), the one before that for how to talk a girl into doing a nude scene (you just need tequila).

This one was to be lighting and camerawork, so... Here are my lighting tests and OTS shooting.

Since that would be incredibly boring, I added a little something to it. The sound is kinda...well...the sound sucks, you might want to turn it up or fiddle with the tone controls, but that wasn't the emphasis this time around. But the other stuff I did...just trying out the compositing in Vegas.

Your choice. Both small files. Right-click and Save As, blah blah blah. You know the drill.

Note to noobs -- this is NOT an invitation to post links to "screaming demon" end-shock videos. We've had enough for a lifetime . . .

:-Dum(DBG):

Oh. In case anyone cares: Lit with a 300w worklight, a 60w china ball, and a 100w Klieg baby spot.

DVX-100A, Squeeze 24PA, 1/24th shutter, Vegas 7.

<insert Tim Allen questioning grunt sound here>

Silly, silly, silly.

Though it did make my wife scream.

Then again, she also screamed when she came home one day, went into the bathroom, and found the big bear sitting on the toilet.

She's easily startled. :)
