Production Company name, za?

Original and has meaning, but may be funny to say for clients to refer "rebmatic" "rebmatic" , it works, 86th Street Studios doesnt exactly roll of the tounge, lol.

Just dont stick the word "Films" in it, nothing irks me more than that word being used for Digital productions.

Really? I'm using it. To me, the word "film" is pretty much synomous with "moving pictures". But thats just me.

I am a very literal person.

Also saying films when not using film is like playing pretend , in my opinion of course. I like to embrace the technology and recognize it as a revolution.

Lol, I'm always like "I'm going filming" or "I filmed that." Never really thought about it...

But anyway, my 2 cents: the B-M combo is a little akward to say, IMO. Either it comes out like "Rematic" or you put too much emphasis on the B.

I agree though, that if it's original it's good. What the name stands for is the important part you have to work on. I mean, just look at "Weta"

Rebmatic ?

Gay?

Rubmatic

Rubmatic Pleasures

Totally gay.

Just kidding.:Drogar-Evil(DBG):

...and yes, I do use film (just not as much anymore).

I hate coming up with names - I've been trying to think of a name that sticks with me for the past two years and can never think of one - It's like getting a tatoo

Rebmatic sucks

Orginally it came from RebelMatic but I thought that had too many syllables..

I called a camera place today and they asked me what my company name was, I said Company Films..

Farts..

Of course I was just kidding. But, I think you're on the right track combining syllables to create a new word. Maybe if you describe what your company does and your interests someone will have some ideas.

I've thought about calling mine "Selective-Fire Studios" and having a browning 1919a4 chewing threw a belt in the background in slow-mo.

I've also considered "Edgmar Productions" Edgmar is the name of our family's plantation.

Unless your clientell are all going to be idunno how to put it really, like rebel soldier types, id stay in the middle with the name, nothing that can be related to the Confederate or Union side ya know? Right down tha' middle.

I labored over coming up with a name as well. But then I realized it really doesnt matter so much. Its like saying the camera is more important than content. Just take a look at this link...its IMDBs list of Production Companies beginning with the letter 'R'. There is a LOT of randomness there. http://www.imdb.com/Sections/Production-companies/types_R
And think about some of the biggies. Universal. 20th Century FOX. I mean, what is that one? Thats really random. You might as well modernize it and call it '21st Century Dingo'.
