i have my video files on an external hard-drive. sometimes when i restart my computer or reboot the drive it comes back as a different letter. for example, sometime it is the M:\ Drive and sometimes it is the L:\ drive.
My problem is this:
I do some work in Vegas and save the veg file to the external drive. If, when i open the project again, the Drive is a different letter than when the project was saved, all the event pan/crop is wrong. every clip is zoomed way out so that my frame only takes up a quarter of the video preview window.
it doesn't happen very often so in the past i have just gone through and fixed all the event pan/crops. but now i'm working on much larger projects and it is beginning to take quite a bit of time to fix.
any ideas? thanks.
