Help! Raylight wont de-interlace 1080 24p

I shot 1080i 24p on my hvx200. I used raylight to create a proxy for the mxf files. I used premiere to edit and export a 24p project. The final renders still have interlace lines on some frames. I checked to make sure that the render settings out of premiere were for a progressive frame. Whats going on? Does raylight work with 10801 24p?

Raylight doesn't remove the pulldown out of 1080/24p footage. (then again, neither does anything else IINM). Raylight works with 1080/24pA footage. If doing 1080/24p you should always choose 1080/24pA if you want to remove pulldown and edit the raw 24p frames.

Cool, thanks Barry. Do you now what the pull down for 24p is? Could I use After Effects to interpolate the footage?

I ran into this problem too. AE will pulldown the clip properly. When choosing which pulldown, you can have AE "guess" and it will do it properly.

I didn't realize Raylight was 24pA only. That must've been why I ran into problems too. Anyways, AE will fix the boo-boos.

yeah, i would use AE to do the pulldown if you shot in the wrong mode for post, then just export true 24p avi's or quicktimes for the edit.

Always shoot Advanced, man . . . it's as true for the HVX as it is for the DVX . . .

(Unless you're shooting 720pN, of course!)
