Is Citidisk HD a dead issue?

I have not seen any recent posts about Citidisk HD. Is anyone working with any degree of success with this little box? Is it a dead product at this point?

That's very interesting, I just noticed no one is talking about it! Wow...

Last few posts I saw, people were having problems with it.

Oh yes, I agree, I LOVE my FS-100, much more durable than it feels like it would be, light as a feather, very reliable, great cusomer service.

I was at a local shop here last week and they were pitching a unit to a customer, so they must still be selling.

They're definately selling. We've moved just over 200 CitiDISK models (about 75% CitiDISK HD) as of this post and I have excellent stock of all HD and HDV CitiDISK models right now. If anyone has questions feel free to email me. To get the quickest response email me directly as opposed to using the private message feature of this bulletin board.

It seems, from what I have read thus far, that the citidisk, is a young and still "immature" alternative. I think the jury is still out. Time will tell. With future firmware updates, etc. It could turn into a viable alternative.

If I remember the firestore, also had some issues early on, but through multiple firmware updates, and another big one on the way, it has, for many people become a very useful tool.

We shall see, I guess. Just have to let those early adopters run it through the gamut, and hopefuly the makers of the citidisk will respond to that, and use that information to continue to develop the citidisk.

Jason,

We definately had issues with the first 10 or so units that we shipped. There are posts on this board elsewhere that attest to that. The last firmware upgrade fixed the initial bugs and made the CitiDISK HD a solid recording device. There are advanced features that are still in development and I'll post once they're available both in newly shipped units and as firmware upgrades for existing users. At any rate, we have lots of happy CDHD users right now and that number will only continue to grow :)

Thanks,

I was at a local dealer here in LA 2 weeks ago and they were showing one to a customer saying something about 5 min limit on shot duration. They seemed to be upbeat about the product however.

Could you post or PM which dealer it is? I want to make sure they have the most recent specs, there's definatley not a 5 minute shot duration limit on the CitiDISK HD.
