Bella Catapult video capture device for IPod or small hard drives

I posted this question in the HVX200 section, but I think it's applicable to this section, as well:

I have a question about a product from a company called Bella-USA that makes something called a Catapult. The company claims that this product can be used to capture DV and HDV footage from Sony, JVC and Panasonic cameras and allow the files to be stored on an Apple IPod or even a 2 1/2" USB hard drive. They claim the device will retail for about $300.

The company website is:

http://www.bella-usa.com/Catapult.htm

I am a Panasonic AG-HVX200 owner and I am seriously considering various hard drive storage device solutions, such as Firestore, Citidisk, etc. Currently I have a 4 GB P2 card, but like anyone, I would like to have a solution for a bigger storage device. Although Bella's website doesn't state compatibility with the MXF files used by the HVX, it sounds like this product has the potential to be upgraded since it seems to be compatible with DV and HDV media files.

I guess my question is this--

Does anyone have experience with the Bella Catapult and would they recommend it? How has the Bella Catapult performed in your workflow?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Well, the HVX doesn't shoot in "HDV" so I don't think the catapault is a logical solution, its just not enough...Though I would seriously consider this for the DVX. Man, I love technology.

To clarify my question, I am asking if anyone uses the Catapult currently for a DV or HDV application and how they like the product for their application. While the company website for the Catapult states it works with HDV or DV at present, it's conceivable that it could also work with DVC Pro 100, just as the Firestore hard drives eventually were modified to work that way.

I'll be psyched when this is out. Mo' competition is breeding some good stuff in our video world right now.

It's not shipping yet, right?

What happened with this? Anyone know? I wrote this company about the Catapult but got no real specifics.
