Want APP1.5 for the lowest price, help

What's the cheapest I can expect to find a legitimate version of APP1.5? I've tried amazon and ebay, which goes for $500-700. Is there a way or place I can get it cheaper?
 
Thats what I found the price to be. i went with 2.0. you can get it used for under $800. I hear vegas is a really good program for a little cheaper.
 
I have seen bundles that include a 1394 capture card for under $600 on eBay. I would recommend going for PPro 2.0 as it is a considerable upgrade from 1.5.1
 
Really? People on amazon say 2.0 acts kinda screwy. Do you notice any problems with 2.0? Is it faster when it comes to exporting? More efficient when it comes to compressing?
 
I have had nearly zero problems on 2.0 it is very stable when used with hardware that meets the minimum requirements. Its faster, has a better user interface, I much prefer it to 1.5.x
 
I never used 1.5 but I havent had any problems with 2. i have only had it about a month or so and have not gone to deep with it, but I am very happy so far.
 
I'm a heavy 1.5 user that will soon be upgrading to 2.0 (When I update systems as well, which will probably be in January) I'm excited about the upgrade, and have been putting it off for a while now due to finances ;-)
 
Would this work? Buy a very old version of premiere along with the 2.0 upgrade? If this could work, what's the oldest version I could buy?
