About a month ago I finally got my DVX100B. It was supposed to come with a titanium bonded wide angle lens, but it ended up being some crappy Digital Concepts Wide Angle lens with Macro. I hate that macro, with the skater looking circular black around the shot. I need a lens that will shoot a wide angle shot. I dont know too many technical terms, as I'm in the beginning stages of filmmaking. Where can I find a good wide angle lens that wont hurt my bank account. Im a college student that doesnt have much of a cash flow. Im basically looking for a cheap, but effective lens that will do the trick. Please help.

I would say the Century optics are about all you can consider for good results.

ncje is right, Century is the only way to go. Unfortunately you'll have to save some duckets to pay for it. Though you might consider renting one on an as needed basis. Not too long ago I needed a tele converter and rented it. It saved me money and I go the shot I needed.

Try the Panasonic one. it's NOT the Century, but I've gotten decent results with it. It retails for $300, maybe you can find a deal on one?

Save youre money and buy a Century 0.7! There is no wide angle for only 200 bicks that makes you happy! Try to buy a used fro eBay.
