What to buy for Youtube HVX or HD100

The flying flag gives a vital touch to the video. I can not remove it. I guess that you are right about the movement.

Movement is a large factor. Look at the top screenshot, that's at a moment in the movie where there's hardly any movement, in the bottom one, the girl is shaking her head/hands, and the quality is horrible. I mean in the first one you can identify individual eyelashes while in the second one you can't tell what's her face and what's her hand.

So I mean you might want to give a try having different things to make the video more lively, while still reducing movement. Like maybe, have the fixed flag in the background, but then have like a small picture on the top right of whatever you're talking about (chavez, bush, etc.) , like in the news.

Yeah, I guess. However, I wouldn't worry too much about the quality of your videos on YouTube unless it's a dramatic piece where the visuals are very important. For example, in your video the man is just talking and the audio is much more important than the video, and people on YouTube are used to that bad quality anyway, and will still watch it if interested in what the man is saying.

So maybe you should just keep it like that, and make sure that the speeches are short and interesting. By the way, I definitley support your cause and I hope you can reach a wide audience of people over there in Venezuela.

Thanks. I am pessimistic about the future, but keep fighting anyway. You americans are so lucly not to face tiranny like we do in South America. Here in Caracas is a complete different world.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm Cuban, and recently moved here to the United States after living in Spain for a while. I hope Venezuela can keep fair elections, not like in Cuba where Castro somehow always manages to get 100% of the votes .

Good luck.

Well, H.264 is obviously a much better codec than the one YouTube uses. However, in YouTube you get free hosting and a potential audience of millions of viewers. You put up a .mov on your server and unless you tell people about it you're going to get 0 views, and you're paying for that server. In YouTube, you can get thousands of views without advertising the video, and the hosting is free. Also, many more people have Flash installed than Quicktime, so you can reach a larger audience.

Well, it's on stickypod, so I'm not paying for it, and are you sure about the Flash being more popular than quicktime? Who doesn't have quicktime?

I guess your right about having a larger audience, but who's going to find this politcal video who's not already looking for it? No one'd going to search "kick nuts" or "beyonce" and get this video. So it seems to me that hosting it as H.264 on a related site would get just as many hits and also look great.

Unless I'm wrong about a lot ppl happening upon this video on youtube.

In my experience, hundreds of people see my anti-chavez videos in youtube, and most of them are against me, but always are US residents. It is like the Cuban case: the imbecile Europeans love the Cuban revolution, but the Cubans hate it, because they have to live in it. I think that there are more chavistas in the US than in Vzla.

I think, you shold play around with different compression types:

EG:

MPEG2
MPEG4
WMV

then try different bitrates, I think youtube as mentioned before, applies its own compression BUT I think it only applies it when the bandwidth reaches a certain level (just a guess) best thing to do is try different files at different rez/bandwidth/codecs.
