Andromedia price come down yet? Still 3g's?

Yeah, if you click "store" on the top of the reel-stream page, the price listed is $2500. PM or email Juan to find out the DVXuser discount.

I thought I read the anouncement but when I looked at there FAQ page it has the old price.. I wish the price would come down alot more, the average person has access to only $1000-$1500 readily at any time, picture how many orders would flood in if they dropped the price, they may get 100 people the first month willing to get the enhancement that would be $100,000 to $150,000 in one month income verse one or two orders a month at the higher price..

>>>>How much does the Andromeda upgrade cost?
The full Andromeda upgrade is $3,000 USD. This price includes the hardware and software. Free return shipping is available for professionals in North America. Educational discounts are planned.

You need to go talk to Filmmaker1977 who bemoans the same thing about RED.

Does anyone know the total headcount of people on this forum who have had the modification done? Andromedia should have a one week only sale the last week in November, 7 days only, to do the modification for only $1000. After that, you've missed the boat! I bet they would get at least 100 orders, do the math..

Does anyone know if the modification or hack is posted online? Splice, solder a few wires, drill a hole, add a female USB connector, let the glue dry, voila!

Dude, come on.

Maybe you haven't thought about it, but the guys who developed the Andromeda are real people who have put a huge amount of time and money into researching the technology. It took them years of work to develop the modification. It's not kiddy stuff. These guys are scientists.

Also, to question their pricing and make "suggestions" is pointless. You don't think they've thought about every possible pricing scheme/discount schedule? Bottom line is you have no idea how many they've sold or how successful they've been. Would you suggest to Jan that Panasonic would be so much more successful if they sold the HVX for $2500 for a limited time only? That's silly.

I think you should probably take some time checking out the Reel Stream website. Read about the product, read the technical docs, cruise the forums - they've got a lot of good info over there.
