Clash of the Titns: In Hi-def

I hate in-focuses marketing scheme, they have been promoting hi- def projectors for years and very few of them rated as "hi def" are actually hi def, they can just view a high def signal. I have a Panasonic AE 900 U that is 720P with a custom built 10.5' cinemascope screen. Truthfully, it's hard for me even consider getting a plasma or LCD when at half the price I got a great 10 foot HD television, that can even be viewed in dim light. Not a bad deal I say.

ooooooooo, I'm jealous. I'm not upset with InFocus though, I'm really happy with mine since all I use it for is anamorphic DVDs (at about 100"). Just don't be retarted and buy something you don't actually research (it took me30 seconds to click that link and see the rez of those projectors).

I don't plan on buying a Projector any time soon. Maybe when I move back to GA and have a room dedicated to home theater.

PTO--

I'm going to purchase a 40" LCD TV in the near future. Bravia 40" XBR or the KDL, or a Samsung 40" 4095. Both are 1080p LCDs and are probably the best LCD's I've ever seen.

I've also heard that LCOS screens are a really good alternative to the LCD, being thin still, and retain a certain quality closer to CRT than LCDs.

War of the Worlds in HD looks so freaking great.

You know what's great about it?

The image fills my entire screen. No black bars at all. Totally native. I love it.

:crybaby::crybaby::crybaby::crybaby: Try watching 2.40:1 on a 4:3 screen. :crybaby::crybaby::crybaby::crybaby:

2.40:1 is the best EVER. Sorry PTO you lose.

I know its the best. Thats why it sucks when you try to watch it on a 32" 4:3 screen. You get a tiny tiny little bar of video, and huge black bars.
