Mac OS X 10.4.8 now available...

Run your software updaters, 10.4.8 is now out. 22mb for PPC, and like 200 or something for Intel. :thumbup:
 
It caught me in the middle of a project. I was pretty angry that I had to spend thirty seconds resetting afterward.
 
live dangerously ! I try not to update in the middle of anything, but sometimes do out of excitement.
 
LoL. Hilarity. I like to see how long I can leave my G5 on with the "reset your damned computer" thing floating around in the background.

After a while it gets annoying.
 
I do the same thing. ive worked like that for about 2 weeks one time, just hate restarting, only time the macbook is ever off, is when the battery is dead, but then in essence its not off, because it saves the state of the system, plug it in and in 5 seconds it loads back up to where you were.
 
You know? I wasnt' a Mac guy at all up until this year when I was forced to migrate to the OSx platform. I can honestly say that I love Mac, where-as before I absolutely abhored it and that might be because of OSx in general.

I still, though, can't make the jump to owning one at home. I want a MacBook, and I want a new Mac Pro but I probably wouldnt' spend my time editing at home as much as I would outright screwing around on the PC. Which makes me want to go and build myself a core 2 duo cube PC instead.

But, I really do love my G5 at work. Such a hard decision on the next machine to buy for home. =(
