How do you mount a Spiderbrace to the M2 rods

I got the Spiderbrace, but I can't mount it to the M2 rod plate. The screws are too small. What do I need to get it to mount?
 
i dont have a m2 but i have modified my spiderbrace and i know you can remove the bottom plate of the spider brace and remove the screws and replace them with longer ones i know they come out cuz i dont use the screws at all no more.
