The Proposition

I agree, it was very entertaining, thankfully not in the Spielberg way.

I like it when movies don't pull any punches (like Oldboy).

I coulda used more guy Pierce and (god forgive me for saying this) less Ray Winstone.

Ray Winstone was ****ing money but i felt the relationship between the Burns brothers was not developed as much as it should have been.

Amazing Cinematography and Score.

It's my favorite movie from this year. Nick Cave is freakin' incredible. If you liked The Proposition, check out his Murder Ballads album. Good stuff I tell ya...

Just watched it today. Wow! I loved it.

Borderline masterpiece. Nick "Do You Love Me" Cave wrote one heck of a good movie, and an equally as good score.

Kickass western, great individual performances, pulls no punches with the graphic nature.

Unforgiven with an edge. A must see!!

(agree with Machinist - would have liked more Burns Bros too, especially Danny Huston, he rocked!)

Attitude with a capital A. Stagger Lee always puts a smile on face ("I'd crawl over 50 pussies just to get to one fat boys a$$hole") and the duets on that album give me chills. I'd thought he was slipping with his last couple of albums, then he delivers that lyrical, haunting soundtrack (to say nothing of the scriptwriting itself).

He was talking with Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott about writing a script for another Gladiator, but apparently it was nixed because it was too left field. A shame.

randomly found this movie at the rental store tonight and watched. i really enjoyed it but thought it was a little slow. the cinemetography in this film was amazing though. set design, lighting, etc. was all stunning

Great movie. We don't make too many westerns and this one's a beauty. When they are whipping the kid, check out the flies on the backs and hats of the onlookers, something you don't see in an American western, welcome to the outback.

Is there an echo in your internet. or do you have multiple personalities that causes you to write the same thing two different ways.... Damn boomerang internet.
